Current Polish: Milani's Blue Flash

My current nail polish is Milani's Blue Flash and can I just say this color is GORGEOUS. It's a medium blue glitter and definitely sparkles!

Milani's Blue Flash

Milani's Blue Flash (with flash...haha) The flash of this picture really picks up the sparkle of this polish. The great thing is that in real life, you don't need a flash to pick it up. It sparkles all by itself!

This photo was taken with no flash, jush regular daylight in a room. As you can see, it has amazing sparkle without having to be in direct sunlight/outside. The packaging says "one coat glitter" but this was two coats. It did feel bumpy but Seche Vite Top Coat helped that.

This polish is definitely blingy so if you love glitters, you'll LOVE this. I know that these polishes sold out very quickly but here is the link to them on cherry culture.

What do you think of this polish? Is it too much bling for you or you can't get enough bling? What is on your nails right now?

Wet n Wild Silent Treatment (Swatches& Comparisons)

Silent Treatment is one of the new trios that Wet n Wild has released. I've been so excited to get this one ever since Nouveau Cheap did swatches of all the new items! It's neutral and has a taupe...SOLD! I know people have been searching their drugstores for these but these are PERMANENT. So have no fear, you can find it eventually.

Wet n Wild Silent Treatment Trio

yummy!

swatches (top to bottom): browbone, crease, eyelid

I also wanted to do some comparisons of things you may already have.

At first, the crease shade (right) reminded me of the amazingly pigmented brown in the Sugar Plum Fairy holiday palette (left). They aren't dupes of each other at all. The crease shade is more on the black side where the Sugar Plum Fairy shade is a chocolate-y brown (btw I LOVE this shade, it's amazingly pigmented too!)

swatches (left to right): WnW Silent Treatment crease shade, WnW Sugar Plum Fairy brown shade, Too Faced Erotica, MAC Showstopper

I also kept hearing that the taupe eyelid shade (left) is a dupe for MAC's Style Snob (right)

I posted this picture to see if anyone can guess which was the WnW eyelid shade and which was MAC's Style Snob. There were people that got it wrong! (WnW is on the left and MAC is on the right) I'd say if you missed out on MAC's Style Snob, this taupe shade is a great dupe =]

This trio is amazing for all you neutral/taupe lovers. The shades are pigmented and very soft. I highly recommend it!

Will you be getting this trio? Have you already bought it? What do you think? Have you bought any other products that Wet n Wild just released?

Makeup Storage/Collection (PIC HEAVY!)

First of all, happy 2 year anniversary to my youtube channel! I started videos exactly 2 years ago today and it's been such an amazing experience. I wanted to make a special video for the occasion and figured I'd show you guys my makeup storage/collection. I'd say my collection is right in the middle; it's not small and not huge. Of course it's WAY more than one person NEEDS but hey you guys understand, right? =]

My makeup lives (yes...lives) in two Ikea Fira drawer chests. First of all, I want to apologize and say that the Fira line was discontinued about a year ago =[ I'm not sure where you can find them but there are tons of other drawer containers out there. This is the 5- drawer one and contains my eye products.

This is every day stuff. I reach in here everyday and don't want to search through other drawers for this stuff. It contains UDPP, Milani Liquif'eye Liner (a mama and a baby one), Jordana Fabuliner, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, NYX Black eyeshadow, MAC tendertone and a sharperner.

Next drawer is round bases and some single shadows. In here is MAC Paint Pots, NARS Corfu cream eyeshadow, baby Benefit RSVP, Chanel Taupe Grise, and MAC Mega Metal Shadows (they didn't fit anywhere else)
Next drawer is MANY single eyeshadows/duos/trios. Brands vary from NYX, Maybelline, Wet n Wild, ELF, NYC, Milani, Covergirl, and more!

The next drawer is the wider one. This is mostly lose shadows/pigments but some palettes ventured in there. Here are MAC pigments (full size and holiday vials), MAC Solarbit, NYX pigments, NYX Morocco Pallete (LOVE), Sigma palette, Sally Girl Eyeshadows, and in the black cotainer (can be found in Walmart/Target) are the little pigment jars that contain MAC pigment samples, Glamour Doll Eyes, and BE shadows)

The other wide drawer is palettes. It contains MAC Holiday palettes, UD Naked Palette, ELF, NYX, Claire's, also some more single shadows/duos that range from Revlon to MAC to Stila. In the other black container is Wet n Wild palettes and trios, MAC quads, and Physician's Formula trios.
On the counter I keep everyday stuff that I would reach for often. This includes Dermorganics Volume Foam, Detangler, MAC Fix+, Brush Cleanser, Perfume, and Hairspray.
Here I keep big palettes like my UD Alice in Wonderland Palette and my MAC Palettes. I have a post here of what is in my MAC palettes, I changed them around a bit but they're still similar. Also, I keep my Too Faced Natural eye palette here, A. because I reach for it almost everyday and B. because it's bulky.
I keep cotton rounds and qtips on hand in these office section cups.

Like a lot of people, I keep my makeup brushes in the sephora-style vases. The fill is just flower fill that can be found in arts stores in the flower section.
On top of my second Fira drawer chest I keep paper towels, tissues, moisturizer, toner, nail stuff, and a lint brush. The box with my clippers, files and nail buffers is actually a MAC box I cut up. Old boxes can make nice storage and organization items.

This is another version of the Ikea Fira chests. Again, I don't know where you can buy them =[ sorry!
This first drawer is my everyday face stuff. Here is NARS Sheer Glow, a small Benefit's Erase Paste, a little jar where I keep some Benefit's Powderflage, sample Murad Oil Control Lotion, MUFE Mascara, NARS Laguna, and some concealers.
This second drawer has more face stuff but I don't go into it on a regular basis. Here is where I keep my full size Benefit Erase Paste and Powderflage, Bare Minerals foundation, MAC MSF Natural, another sample of the Murad Oil Control, and some brow stuff.
This drawer has some skincare. In here is moisturizer, Argan Oil, Mario Badescu Drying cream, Vitamin E, and Baby Oil.

Next is more eyeshadow bases. This drawer has the stick type basis, as opposed to the other drawer with round jars. In ehre, I have UDPP original and Sin, MAC Shadesticks, NYX Jumbo Pencils, and some random L'oreal and Wet n Wild ones.
Here is eyeliners other than the ones I use everyday. This is mostly colored liners. In here I have the L'oreal HIP loose kohl liner, some UD liners, Milani, L'oreal, and the Wet n Wild cream liner.

Next is mascara drawer. I'm not a mascara "collector" and a lot of these I received in swaps. They are mainly unopened mascaras. I usually stick to a mascara I'm loving (currently the MUFE one) so I don't have many mascaras opened at a time.

Here is my lipstick drawer. There's many different brands in here that include MAC, Maybelline, Rimmel, L'Oreal, and Barry M. I group them by brands and generally know which is which so I can pull out the one I want. I also have a few lip liners in this drawer.

Of course, near the lipstick drawer is lipgloss. These are also grouped mainly by brand. They range from Victoria's Secret, MAC, NYX, Sephora, and Revlon.
Here are lip balms. I'm not sure how I got around to having so many but what can you do =]. In here are EOS, Neutrogena, Blistex, Nivea, MAC, and C.O. Bigelow.

Another drawer I have is miscellaneous stuff I would have on hand. I have the 32 oz of Zoya Remove+, LUSH Snow Fairy, some empty LUSH containers, hand cream, body butter, and some makeup remover wipes that I don't really like but keep for when I'm swatching things.

That is my makeup storage/ collection! I hope some of you found it helpful in terms of finding ways to organize or reorganize your stash. If you have any questions on what a particular color or product is, feel free to ask. =]
How do you store your makeup? Do you like your method or are you looking for another way to organize your makeup?

Cutiegingerbread Beauty Ballot #3

Thank you to everyone that voted in the last Cutiegingerbread Beauty Ballot!

The last question was "What makeup do you apply first in your beauty routine?". According to the results, 62.96%  apply their face makeup first, 37.04% apply their eye makeup first, and not a single vote for lips. As I mentioned in the post, I apply my eye makeup first because in case there is fallout I can clean it up with a qtip and makeup remover without disturbing my face makeup. As I can see from the poll, it is a personal decision of most likely preference. Also as Ashleigh said in the comments, if she had to choose one in a hurry, she would  "rather have a face on with minimal makeup and not a full eye look and no foundation".

Here is this week's question:

Thank you for voting!

Zoya Promo Polishes (swatches)

In this collective haul, I show the three polishes I got with the Zoya promo that I blogged about previously. Since I got so many questions from people asking what polishes I chose for the promo, I wanted to show it in a haul and do swatches.

left to right: Zara, Mimi, Kotori
Zara- This is a pinky purple with gold shimmer. It's a gorgeous color but on the sheer side. This was 3 coats.

Mimi- A purple with purple glitter. This was nice pigmented, I used 2 coats. I'm obsessed with purple so I really liked this one.

Kotori- A gorgeous deep mermaid blue with green tones. Unfortunetly, I'm not a fan. It was watery and sheer, I think this was 4 coats.

What did you get from the Zoya promo? How do you like your colors?

Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio (swatches & comparions)

I recently found another amazing gem from Wet n Wild! I am really impressed by WnW in general, amazing quality for a great price. This trio, Walking on Eggshells, has very soft shades and best of all is filled with some MAC dupes. I love that the directions are embedded into the shadow, you don't have to follow it but it's nice that it's there. It's about $3, and has become my love.

Walking on Eggshells Trio

Ahhh, amazing neutral goodness!

Swatches (top to bottom): browbone (shimmery golden highlight), crease (milk chocolate brown), eyelid (pinky neutral)

Swatches (left to right): browbone shade, MAC Shroom, MAC Nylon
This shade is a mix of Shroom and Nylon, it's closer to Nylon. Gorgeous highlight!

Swatches (left to right): crease shade, MAC Mulch, MAC Tempting
This shade is almost dead on for MAC's Mulch, which is one of my favortie crease shades. Mulch is a bit darker so this crease shade is a little more subtle.

Swatches (left to right): eyelid shade, Stila's Kitten, Too Faced Silk Teddy
I have heard so much about this shade being a dupe for Stila's Kitten, but I just don't see it. It has a similar eye brightening effect on the eye but the WnW shade is much more pink.

Overall, this is an amazing trio and I highly recommend it to all you neutral lovers!

Will you be checking out the Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio? Do you already have it? What do you think?

Top 10 Favorite Eyeshadows

I am first to admit that I am a neutral shadow FIEND.That's why for most (ok...ALL) of my choices of top 10 shadows, they are neutrals. Here is my video listing off my favorites and of course I couldn't stop at 10 so I have lots of honorable mentions too!

My Favorites!
Too Faced Silk Teddy- I've talk about this shade a million times both on this blog and in my videos. It's a pinky champagne with lots of eye brightening goodness!
NYX Champagne- As the name suggests, this is a champagne color and also very golden. It's very close to MAC Blonde's Gold Pigment, which is PRO.

MAC Shroom- This is my go to highlight shade for the inner corner and looks gorgeous on the lid too. It's a golden highlight shade.

MAC Grain- This is a peachy neutral shade with just a hint of shimmer. It's a great barely there color that still makes you look awake.

MAC Vex- This shade is very unique, it's a beige-y shade but has a pink duochrome.
Swatches (left to right): Too Faced Silk Teddy, NYX Champagne, MAC Shroom, MAC Grain, MAC Vex
Stila's Wheat- I know Stila's Kitten is a cult favorite but one of my favorites is Wheat. It's a golden color that's very...you guessed it, eye brightening.

Wet n Wild Nutty- This is one of my all time favorite taupes. I've raved about this shade a lot and still highly recommend it. It's amazing quality for the low price.

MAC Vanilla Pigment- If I have to recommend any MAC pigment, it's this one. It is a white gold and is gorgeous as a highlight or all over the lid.

Swatches (left to right): Stila's Wheat, WnW Nutty, MAC Vanilla Pigment
MAC Mulch- This is one of my favorite crease/outer corner shades. It's a chocolate-y brown and gives really nice definition to my eyes.

NYX Black- As the name suggests it's just matte black. I use this shadow daily to set my eyeliner. You can also use it as eyeliner or to smoke out a look. If you need a matte black, $3 for this NYX one is a great price for something that will last you a long time.

Swatches (left to right): MAC Mulch, NYX Black

My honorable mentions!
L'Oreal HIP Duo in Electrified (left shade)-I love this duo in general and I have to thank Nouveau Cheap for recommending it. The left champagne/pewter shade is my favorite.

Bare Minerals Celestine- Though it's a golden neutral shade, this color has a lot more unique dimension to it and also has some pink and taupe tones to it.

Glamour Doll Eyes' Bare Naked- Like Grain, this is a gorgeous barely there neutral. It's more golden than Grain but the concept is similar.

Physician's Formula Baked Sands Trio (top color)- Before I discovered MAC's shroom, I was in love with the highlight shade of this trio. I still use it and love it for inner corner and all over the lid.

Milani's Java Bean- This is another one of my favorite crease/outer corner shades. It has more purple tones than Mulch. I recommend the Milani single shadows over all because they're amazing quality. You can find them on cherry culture.

Swatches (left to right): L'Oreal HIP Electrified Champagne/Pewter shade, BE Celestine, GDE Bare Naked, Physician's Formula highlight shade, Milani Java Bean

What are your all time favorite eyeshadows? Do you stick to a certain color family like I do or you love all kinds of shades?
