I have found a polish I just can't get enough of: Sally Hansen Co-Bolt Blue. I can wear it for weeks and not get tired of it!

Co-Bolt Blue is a GORGEOUS cobalt, electric blue. The name is so appropriate! This polish goes on perfectly and is opaque in two coats. LOVE

Current Polish: Essie Case Study

Essie recently came out with their Fall collection and one color's name stood out to me immediately: Case Study. This is a term used often in Sociology and I am a Sociology Major! The color is gorgeous so it had to be mine.

Case Study is a khaki beige color, perfect for Fall! It applied smoothly in 2 coats.

Current Nail Polish: ORLY Rage

There are some polishes I get and think, "Why didn't I get this sooner??" ORLY Rage is definitely one of them! I have heard so much about this color and have only recently got it on eBay. It is a gorgeous rose-gold metallic polish.

 

ORLY Rage- This polish is perfect in two coats, the picture seems to show it as a gold but it definitely has the rose tint to it.

Current Nail Polish: ORLY Flirty

I recently received a belated birthday gift from my good friend Rita and of course it included a nail polish (what can I say, my friends know my addiction well!). The polish was ORLY Flirty. It is from a recent collection, Happy Go Lucky (love the name!) Flirty is perfect for summer, and is a nice twist on a hot pink. It is a hot pink, but has some purple/magenta undertones. Another thing that stands out from Flirty is the fine, silver shimmer in it. The camera doesn't quite pick it up but it gives a nice depth to the polish.

Current Polish: Sally Hansen Delphinium & Urban Outfitters Afterhours

A sweet Twitter follower recently sent me the Sally Hansen polish in Delphinium that I have been searching for. This is from their Tracy Reese collection and is nowhere to be found! Thankfully Erinn spotted it and sent one to me. I did a manicure with this polish and an accent glitter nail!

Sally Hansen Delphinium- This is a gorgeous dusty lavender with a bit of mauve to it. If you are tired of bright spring/summer colors, this is a great color to change it up! This was 2 coats. 

 

I also added a glitter nail on my ring finger with Urban Outfitters Afterhours. I don't usually do an accent nail, lately I have been taking Nicole by OPI Make a Cometment and painting it over every nail. The Urban Outfitters polish seemed to match the Sally Hansen polish because it looks to have a purple tone to it. It's really a sheer, rainbow glitter and reminds me a bit of the Nicole by OPI, except the glitter particles are bigger. It also has some red/purple glitter, it's a nice multidimensional glitter.

Current Polish: Essie Tart Deco (swatch and comparison)

I am fully ready for spring and have found an amazing spring color! Essie Tart Deco is a pinky orange coral. As I'm sure a lot of you know, coral's a very in for spring and summer. This is definitely a nice polish for those of you that are new to the trend. It has some pink tones in it that keeps it from being plain orange.

 

Tart Deco applied pretty smoothly, this is two coats.

 

I wanted to compare it to China Glaze Peachy Keen but  I think I sold that in a blog sale (and apparently don't miss it). From what twitter followers have said, Peachy Keen is more orange. I have Essie Haute as Hello to compare it to. Haute as Hello is a strange color, as you can see in the bottle is a light peach but on the top where it seems to have separated and is darker, that is the color it comes out!

Essie Tart Deco is a nice addition to my collection, especially since I am new to corals/oranges. I bought this at a local beauty supply store but you can also find it online.

Current Polish: China Glaze Lemon Fizz

With spring here, I've been excited to use my pastel shades (which are my favorite shades to wear!). After a day of sunshine, we have had a 3 days of gross rain so I decided to wish for the sun back by wearing happy, bright colors. China Glaze Lemon Fizz is a great pastel yellow for the spring. It reminds me of baby chicks!

This was after four days of wear! The polish applies smoothly with 2 coats and lasts really well.

Current Polish: Essie Borrowed and Blue (swatch & comparison)

Recently Essie released their 2011 Wedding Collection and what caught my eye were not the standard pinks, but the light blue, Borrowed and Blue. I love that Essie did a little twist on the standard wedding polishes and came out with a blue. My fellow nail polish addict and taste twin, Rachel, was raving about it as her new favorite light blue polish so I had to pick it up! I am definitely not disappointed as it is a gorgeous color and unique to anything I own.

Borrowed and Blue is a light blue. It's a lot lighter than your average light pastel blue (will get to that in a sec!) and has a lot of white in it. In the bottle it looks a bit grey but that doesn't translate much on the nail. This was two coats.

Essie Borrowed and Blue is great for a spring manicure that's clean yet colorful. I am loving this polish for spring and can see it being a winter color as well as it's not too "seasonal".

Current Nail Polish: Sally Hansen Grey Area

Although this is not my CURRENT nail polish, it was at one point. I loved applying it, wearing it, looking at it. It's a really gorgeous fall/winter color. I was hesitant to post this because it is not hard to find. However, I do have a giveaway going on right now on my Youtube and will soon have one on my Twitter. Sally Hansen's Grey Area. It is part of their Xtreme wear line, which retails for about $3. 

 

Grey Area is a dark purple with grey undertones. It's perfect for the colder months where dark nails are very in. The application was perfect, I believe this was one coat. If you compare this with Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic, the grey undertones in this really show up whereas Metro Chic is more purple, plus Metro Chic is lighter.

Current Nail Polish: Color Club Revvvolution

Along with trying to make use of my many shadows, I am making sure to actually use my new polishes I get. I have a tendency to buy it and then put it on my nail rack to join the prettiness, and the polish is never heard from again! Color Club's Revvvolution is supposed to be a dupe for OPI's My Private Jet and if MPJ is anything like the Color Club, boy is it yummy.

Color Club's Revvvolution is a deep grey with holo throughout. The formula is amazing, I could have done just one coat and been fine but this is two. I love that this is a different type of dark polish, though I wish the holo was more vivid.

 

The flash really picks up the holographic effect. Prettiness!

This polish is unlike anything I have in my collection! A dark polish with holo? Whoever thought of this is GENIUS! I wish I could compare this to My Private Jet but I don't own that.

Do you own Color Club's Revvvolution? How do you like it? What's on your nails?

Current Nail Polish: Hard Candy Mr. Wrong

I recently found Hard Candy's Mr. Wrong nail polish in a Walmart upstate. Being that this was my first trip to Walmart (GASP, but NYC doesn't have one), I was excited to find this brand that I have never seen in store before. Mr. Wrong is a truly unique nail polish with lots of dimension to it.

No, I did not put that ring on top of the bottle. It really came like that! Who needs that anyway lol

Now let's get to the polish! Mr. Wrong is a sparkly polish with tones of purple, gold, and grey. Like I said, it has a lot of dimension to it and I can't help but stare at it. I believe this was 2 coats.

Current Polish: Milani's Blue Flash

My current nail polish is Milani's Blue Flash and can I just say this color is GORGEOUS. It's a medium blue glitter and definitely sparkles!

Milani's Blue Flash (with flash...haha) The flash of this picture really picks up the sparkle of this polish. The great thing is that in real life, you don't need a flash to pick it up. It sparkles all by itself!

 

This photo was taken with no flash, jush regular daylight in a room. As you can see, it has amazing sparkle without having to be in direct sunlight/outside. The packaging says "one coat glitter" but this was two coats. It did feel bumpy but Seche Vite Top Coat helped that.

This polish is definitely blingy so if you love glitters, you'll LOVE this. I know that these polishes sold out very quickly but here is the link to them on cherry culture.

Current Nail Polish: Essie's Mint Candy Apple

Try as I might, I can't resist the light, spring colors! I've grown a little tired of the dark winter colors so I thought I'd switch it up and use a mint green. One of my favorite mint greens is Essie's Mint Candy Apple. It's a mint green with a slight blue undertone. To me it is a closer replica of the Tiffany color than China Glaze's For Audrey.

 

I love that blues and greens can be worn year round! Essie's Mint Candy Apple is a gorgeous color and what's better is that it has a great formula too! I only used 2 coats and they glided on!

Essie is on the pricier side in terms of nail polish but this color is worth it.

Current Nail Polish: Revlon's Perplex (swatch and review)

My Duane Reade has recently gotten in a lot of new collections and I am more than happy to drool over them. One new thing I noticed was this new Revlon polish, Perplex. First, let me say that a peeve I have is when drugstores have a complete disregard for collections. Mine uses the "hey, there's room in this display!" method. I found it in the display for Revlon's Fire & Ice collection so this might be a little hidden in your drugstore. I have also heard there is a display just for this polish, in which case I hope your drugstore has that. Also, I have heard that a lot of drugstores don't even have it (maybe it will soon)! 

I had heard about this as a new dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal. I'd just like to say that I don't have the Chanel so I can't compare =[ Sorry! But I did use Perplex last night and OMG am I in love. This polish is GORGEOUS. If you're a fan of the likes of Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic, you'll love this.

Perplex is a dark purple with a lighter purple...glow. Sheen isn't quite the word so I'll use glow because it does seem to glow from within. Not only is the color absolutely gorgeous, but the application is PERFECTION. One coat is probably all you need! I used two just to even out, but I really didn't need to. 

I highly recommend this polish! I can't rave about it enough.

Have you tried Perplex? If so, what are your thoughts?

Current Nail Polish: Nfu Oh 61

I wanted to start a series where I post the polish I am wearing whenever I change my nails, kind of like a NOTD. I'm an admitted nail polish addict so I may as well put it to good use!

For the past few days, I've been wearing Nfu Oh 61, a GORGEOUS silver holo. This color is absolutely stunning and I'm so glad I have it in my collection.

Here it is on my nails. I'm so happy the flash captured the amazing holographic effect! and look at that bottle! It's so detailed and definitely does not look like your standard nail polish bottle.


I am wearing it with the Nfu Oh Aqua Base coat (which helps the application and the holo effect stand out from what I've read)  and no top coat (since I find it dulls down the holo effect a bit).
