Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Comparisons

I have gotten to the point where my neutral eyeshadow collection is quite...large (understatement). I know a lot of people have been debating getting the Naked 2 palette as it might be dupeable or too similar to Naked 1. I have to say, I LOVE this palette. I can't pick a favorite between the two, but I do love them both. I do think they're a little similar but the colors are gorgeous and versatile. For Friday, I wanted to show you guys my all time favorite eyeshadow look. It's one of my go to combinations because it brightens my eyes and defines them at the same time! Another one of my favorites is Tuesday, with Mauvement Pigment. This pigment on its own is horrendous! Chunky, glittery, all around fall out mess. However, the Pixie Epoxy grabbed on to the glitter and helped its true beauty shine.

I will definitely do an EOTD from time to time but not everyday lol. Again thank you to everyone that read these posts!

April Shadows Weekly Roundup

If you are unfamiliar with this whole "April Shadows" concept, it is a continuation of my Eyes of March project, where I vowed to use a different eyeshadow everyday! It's a fun challenge to do to rediscover your forgotten shades. You don't even have to do it with eyeshadows, can be with anything in your collection that you have a lot of.

I had to wake up super early so today was a very minimal makeup day. I love the combo of an eye brightening base and an eye brightening eyeshadow. Also, wearing only mascara and upper lashline liner makes your lashes look HUGE.

A week in eyeshadows! I have to say, I'm liking today's look. I didn't wear any liner on the upper lashline, which makes my lashes look HUGE. Also, I skipped the face makeup today and all I used is the Garnier tinted eye roller. Also, I am loving the Covergirl Pure Romance quad. I will admit the quality isn't that great and you do need to build up the colors, but it's a nice purpley neutral quad.

So there's my week of eyeshadow looks. I'd have to say Tuesday's and Thursday's looks were my favorite. Too Faced Silk Teddy is one of my all time favorite shadows. It is great for a gorgeous, eye brightening one shadow look. I also loved the golden look of Thursday. I usually avoid shades like Half Baked and Woodwinked (very similar to Half Baked) because while they look golden and glowy, they come out copper on me. People have given me the tip that if this happens, to use a brown base. This did the trick and I got the gorgeous golden color that I wanted.

April Shadows- April 1st

I had so much fun with The Eyes of March that I just had to continue it for April! This month, I'm calling the series "April Shadows", a play off of April Showers. Thank you all so much for your feedback last month. I PROMISE that this month my other posts won't slack because I was guilty of that in March. Overall, I think it's great to look at the products you have neglected and rediscover them. I know a lot of us have favorites but might forget about them when a new item is purchased, but it's good too take a look at products that were neglected.

For today I used my new Wet n Wild Comfort Zone pallete that narsaddict was sweet to send to me. This palette is sold out everywhere I look but if you can grab it, DO SO! It's one of the new 8 pan palettes that Wet n Wild cam out with and they are only sold at Walgreens and Walmart.

The LAST Eyes of March- March 31st

The day has come! It's the last day of The Eyes of March project! I've had such a fun time rediscovering old shadows and I will definitely continue to post more EOTDs. This project kept me from getting in a shadow rut as I was using a new one everyday. I encourage all of you to get your neglected shadows and use them more because you may never know, you could have been neglecting a shadow you love. (Shadows have feelings too!)

I had so much fun with the project I kind of don't want it to end =] I wanted to thank all of you for following along with this project! It was so great to hear the positive feedback from you guys. Would you be interested in me continuing it into April?

Today is a gross and grey rainy day so I went with a more smokey eye. I used Chanel's Taupe Grise and Milani's Java Bean. Taupe Grise is a gorgeous purpley smokey taupe and Java Bean is a purpley dark brown. Like I said before, Milani single shadows are AMAZING.

The Eyes of March- March 30th

Today is a NYX type of day. I love NYX shadows for their price and quality. They offer such great pigmented shadows for a third of some higher end eyeshadows! Today I used two of my favorites that I own: Champagne and Root Beer. Champagne is a golden shade that is gorgeous on the lid and Root Beer is a soft, pigmented dark greyish brown. By the way, Champagne is a great dupe for the MAC Blonde's Gold pigment, they are very similar!
