UK's Accessorize comes to NYC!

I have always been intrigued with UK brands and stores, off the top of my head: Barry M, Sleek, and also the amazing jewelry finds UK people get from Accessorize!

I have always heard of this store but since it's across the's a distant image to say the least. I had seen Nikki's Nails do a post on swatches of some Accessorize nail polishes and I have to say I drooled a bit (shame, nail polish addict, SHAME!). I tweeted that I wish we had one in NYC and much to my surprise and excitement, Rachel (cupcakesandscissors on Youtube ...LOVE her videos! Subscribe to her please =]) tweeted me an article that said it was coming to NYC!

I will definitely make my way to browse this store that was so mysterious to me! I hope it makes its way to other parts of the US too so you non-NYC girls can check it out too!

NYC residents, will you be checking out Accessorize?

Easy Halloween Manicure

I love the spirit of Halloween! I love holidays in general; it's a great time to be creative and come together (wow, yuliya, you're so corny). I was so excited to see the first house on my blog to put up Halloween decorations and especially this week everyone is talking about costumes and dressing up. I haven't dressed up for Halloween since HS so my way of being in the Halloween spirit is a manicure. Here is mine for this year:

At first, I started out my manicure like how they are on the first four fingers. I had an idea to do this for a long time because it just looks like fall/ Halloween.

What I used:
-Nfu Oh Aqua Base
-Sally Hansen Black Out
-Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (I know, I edition! Sorry!! Nubar 2010 is a dupe though!)
-Seche Vite Dry fast Top Coat

The Hidden Treasure on top of the black gives the amazing fire-like effect.

It also can look green and gold in some lights! It's an amazing effect.

Then I found this Frankenstein Nails tutorial. It's SO easy and adorable and I just had to do it on one nail to give it even more of a Halloween feel. The Frankenstein nail really stands out more if it's just one nail.

What I used for the Frankenstein thumb (p.s. if you read the book Frankenstein, you'll know that though everyone refers to the monster as Frankenstein, his creator is actually named Frankenstein, not the monster...I'm a nerd!) is:

-Nfu Oh Aqua Base
-Sally Hansen Green With Envy
-Sally Hansen Snow
-Sinful Colors black nail art polish
-Seche Vite Dry Fast Polish

I want you guys to know that I SUCK at nail art! I can't even draw in real life let alone with nail polish. This tutorial makes this cute nail art SO easy and it comes out so adorable! If you don't know what to do for a Halloween tutorial, I highly recommend checking out the tutorial.

Hope you like my extremely easy Halloween manicure. It's weird to think I'm wearing 7 polishes at one time!

What are you dressing up as for Halloween? If you aren't, are you doing a special manicure like I am to be in the spirit lol?

MAC Cham-Pale Collection (Info & Wishlist)

Now that the Tartan Tale collection has already come out, I am looking forward to more!

The next one (November 24th) is the MAC & Marcel Wanders collection, which is a luxury collection from MAC. I'm skipping this one. All the prices will be higher (like $22 for a gloss) because it's more luxury packaging. I'm completely against paying for packaging only and there's nothing in the collection that appeals to me...NO THANKS!

Next is Champ-Pale..mostly neturals. I'm excited =] Also, a false lashes collection and another collection filled with pigments, fluidlines, and other items) is coming out that same day but I'm passing on those.

Here's the info and I've highlighted what I'm planning to get:

Current Obsession: Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow (Swatches)

Below is my little "Current Obsession" video about Wet n Wild's Nutty eyeshadow, and you guessed it: I'M OBSESSED! It's such a gorgeous color that's great quality and at such a low price! What's not to love? I've been wearing this color almost everyday and haven't gotten sick of it (which I usually do with looks I wear often).

Pictures & swatches:

WnW Nutty-no flash

WnW Nutty- with flash

left to right: NARS Ashes to Ashes, WnW Nutty, MAC Satin Taupe

Swatched in same order: left to right: NARS Ashes to Ashes, WnW Nutty, MAC Satin Taupe (no flash)

I really hope you check this shadow out, it's become one of my all time favorites. It's perfect when you don't want to think about what to wear and don't feel like spending time on a lid/crease color look!

What I Ended Up Getting From Sephora FF Sale & Recommendations

I know I had posted my whole wishlist for the Sephora sale so I wanted to give you guys an update on what I did get. I made a mini haul video on it and I also show some of my favorites from Sephora.

Man, how did I forget the UD Naked palette and the Too Faced Neutral Palette...I LOVE those, they're amazing quality and get a lot of love from me!

I've had a few days to play with the 2 things that I got and I am VERY happy with my little purchase. Although I haven't had these two items for very long at all, I can already tell I will get a lot of use from them! Celestine is a gorgeous lid color! It's a perfect neutral, brightening color and reminds me a bit of MAC's shroom (just more golden and sparkly). The Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm is amazing too. It smells so yummy and it's just as moisturizing as my favorite C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve (they're essentially the same thing but I believe that Rosebud made it first).

Have you gotten your Sephora Friends and Family sale haul? How are you enjoying it?

This or That Tag

Yes...ANOTHER post! I've been doing these almost daily, told you I was inspired =]

I have seen the this or that tag going around on Youtube and even attempted to record a video...but it was 15 min long and this was before the 10 min max got extended to 15 min. So I might as well do it on here!

I got this tag from the adorable GlossMenagerie ! Definitely check out her out! She's so sweet and I love her blog. Tell her I sent you!
blush or bronzer - bronzer! I know this might be a shocker to makeup addcits, but I don't wear blush *GASP* lol I never felt the need to since my cheeks are already rosey but I love bronzer to give dimaension and warmth to my face
lip gloss or lipstick - hmm...I like lipstick for it's ease and comfort
eye liner or mascara - Mascara. don't get my wrong..I LOVE me some eyeliner...but I'd rather pick mascara because I think mascara can define your eyes too (plus I get peeved when I see people wear eyeshadow with no mascara lol)
foundation or concealer - concealer. I can get away with some undereye concealer and face concealer if I really needed to
neutral or color eye shadow - neutrals please!
pressed or loose eye shadows - pressed, I love some of the loose shadows I have but pressed is so much easier
brushes or sponges - brushes for eyes, hands for concealer/foundation

OPI or china glaze - china glaze...i'm turned off by opi for their fiasco with not letting bloggers post about upcoming collections...who cares?
Long or short - short
Acrylic or natural - natural, oh boy I'm still scared with when I had acrylics for HS prom and the lady pried them off with a metrocard to remove them....and I was PAYING for this service! *shudder*
Brights or dark - depends on the season (yes I'm a seasonal nail polish wearer lol)
Flower or no flower - no flower

perfume or body splash - my Ralph Lauren Romance
lotion or body butter - lotion
body wash or soap - body wash! I love liquid soap and could barely get into the LUSH soap craze because of that, I love the LUSH snow fairy shower gel (and use it as shampoo..ok Yuliya, stop rambling...)
lush or other bath company - I'm not really an "obsessed with bath stuff" girl, but I'll say LUSH

jeans or sweat pants - Jeans if I'm leaving the house. Sweat pants for lounging at home.<--Alyson summed it up perfectly!
long sleeve or short - again, depends on the season and the weather
dresses or skirts - I'd say skirts because I guess they're more universal and you can make your own outfit with them.
stripes or plaid - I love the plaid craze!
flip flops or sandals - sandals, I find flipflops are TOO flat and are hard to rush in if you need to get somewhere
scarves or hats - scarves, even when I was little I hated hats with a passion!
studs or dangly earrings - I've stopped wearing earrings, but prefer studs
necklaces or bracelets - bracelets, I love wearing a thin bracelet with my big GUESS watch
heels or flats - Flats, I can't walk in heels for the life of me! I love the appearance of heels but not the pain
cowboy boots or riding boots - Riding boots, I don't get the appeal of cowboy boots
jacket or hoodie - Jacket but I have a huge hoodie I love to sleep in
forever 21 or charlotte russe - NEITHER! I can never deal with either...can I pick Express please? lol
abercombie or Hollister -Abercrombie because they make my bf's yummy cologne!

curly or straight - curly, I lvoe wearing my hair natural ...with product lol
bun or ponytail - ponytail, they just seem sleeker
bobby pins or butterfly clips - butterfly clips, I can't figure out bobby pins just like heels lol
hair spray or gel - hair spray, I use it like a setting spray to seal in the hairstyle
long or short - long!
light or dark - dark, I would look like a total weirdo blonde lol
side sweep bangs or full bangs - Side swept, have that now. In HS for a few months I had full bangs...and they gave me a headache...I was very aware of them lol

Rain or shine - shine! I'm one of those people that can't function on a rainy day and just wants to snuggle in bed
Summer or winter - winter, I hate heat so much
Fall or spring - spring (because of my birthday!)
Chocolate or vanilla - chocolate all the way
East coast or west coast - EAST COAST! new york baby =]

I TAG YOU TO DO THIS TAG! If you have a blog, please link me if you do this tag. If you don't have a blog, you can just leave a comment answering these! <3

My Favorite Makeup Wipes: Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes

I love makeup wipes to remove my makeup at night before I use my cleanser. They're easy to use and  you can quickly remove your makeup when all you want to do is get to bed.

My absolute favorites from the ones I've tried are the Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes. They're a good size, moderately soaked with makeup remover, don't burn my eyes (like unfortunately the Costco Kirkland brand ones do), and smell nice. It does a great job in removing every trace of makeup, including all mascara, and my face feels really clean after.

They come with a sticker seal, which is my only complaint. When the wipe count gets low and you've been opening and closing it a lot, the sticker gets a little weak and starts allowing air into the packet and the wipes dry out more.

The Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes come with 25 wipes and retails for about $7 in drugstores.

What are your favorite makeup wipes?

Current Nail Polish: Nfu Oh 61

I wanted to start a series where I post the polish I am wearing whenever I change my nails, kind of like a NOTD. I'm an admitted nail polish addict so I may as well put it to good use!

For the past few days, I've been wearing Nfu Oh 61, a GORGEOUS silver holo. This color is absolutely stunning and I'm so glad I have it in my collection.

Here it is on my nails. I'm so happy the flash captured the amazing holographic effect! and look at that bottle! It's so detailed and definitely does not look like your standard nail polish bottle.

I am wearing it with the Nfu Oh Aqua Base coat (which helps the application and the holo effect stand out from what I've read)  and no top coat (since I find it dulls down the holo effect a bit).

You can find Nfu Oh polishes at . They are $12.50 each (a bit pricey, I know) but U.S. orders are free shipping.

What your current nail polish?

MAC: A Tartan Tale Info & What I Pre-ordered

I've been getting really excited about the upcoming MAC collections (part of why I'm considering skipping Sephora F&F) and wanted to share with you guys the info and my wishlist from them. Here is the first upcoming collection, the holiday one, A Tartan Tale!

MAC  stores (and possibly counters...not sure) are doing presales of this collection. They basically have testers out of the items, you tell them what you want to preorder, give them your name and credit card number, and they charge your card on the 28th (release date). You can pick up your items anytime after the collection is released. I would call your local store/counter to check if they're doing it to save you a trip. My store had the palettes, brush sets, lip sets, and blush sets. I've highlighted below what I preordered.

Here is a picture of what my store had out (unfortunately, not the whole collection):

Hey loves!

Ever since I first saw the Color Club Untamed Luxury Collection, I have been obsessed with it! It look like the perfect fall colors and on my youtube channel, I've gone as far as describing it as the Naked palette of fall nail polish, the colors I got especially, in that these are all the colors you would probably need if you weren't such an addict! I got the first 7-pack from Transdesign for $17.43. Amazing deal!

Ironically, the Naked palette is in the background =]

This is my first attempt at nail swatches so excuse my amatuer-ness!

Pretty in Platinum- This is a light silver. The application was amazing! I could almost get away with one coat but this was two coats just to even out.

Wild Orchid- This color is like a concrete grey with some subtle silver shimmer. This color was more sheer and required three coats to even out.

Positively Posh- The picture makes this color seem a little darker but it is a milk chocolate color. This was another one of the sheerer colors and needed three coats.

Soft as Cashmere- This is a khaki-grey-beige type of color. For some reason, the camera made it more green/olive toned. Another sheer one, three coats.

Nothing but Truffle- This is a brown with strong red/gold shimmers and irridescence. The gold doesn't quite show up on the nails. This has an amazing formula and only needed two coats.

Jewel of a Girl- This color is pretty similar to Nothing but Truffle but it is a deep red, where Nothing but Truffle is more brown. Both are gorgeous, deep colors. This one had a great formula and needed two coats.

Ready to Royal- This is a deep, deep purple. The application was a little iffy but still was opaque in two coats.

I only have half the collection but my overall view on this part of the collection is very positive. Like I said, these are amazing basic colors for fall and I highly recommend checking out this collection.

Five Random Facts About Me & a Blog Makeover

I've spent the past few hours giving my blog a makeover and if you're reading this, you probably see it!

I recently updated my blackberry to an Iphone 4 (love) and had no clue the camera was so amazing! Many random photos later, I was inspired to put it to good use towards this blog and stop neglecting this thing =]

My first post on this newly remade blog is a "Five Random Facts" one, just for your guys to get to know me a little better.

1. I am very instinctual. If something doesn't feel right, I take that as a sign.

2. I'm a nail polish ADDICT. I have recently filled up my nail polish rack, and am contemplating another one =X

3. Helping people makes me happy. I love my Youtube channel because it allows me to do this. If I have helped even one person, my goal is complete.

4. I am IN LOVE with Express. Love their style, fit, quality, even the employees are amazing. I would go to Express over Forever 21 any day!

5. My signature scent is Ralph Lauren's Romance. I don't have a "perfume collection" because I have worn the same perfume for about 4 years. I find this scent matches my personality and body chemistry and though I've tried to stray from it, nothing else really suits me.

Hope you guys enjoy the makeover, PLEASE let me know what you think.

Have a great day <3
