UK's Accessorize comes to NYC!

I have always been intrigued with UK brands and stores, off the top of my head: Barry M, Sleek, and also the amazing jewelry finds UK people get from Accessorize!

I have always heard of this store but since it's across the WORLD...it's a distant image to say the least. I had seen Nikki's Nails do a post on swatches of some Accessorize nail polishes and I have to say I drooled a bit (shame, nail polish addict, SHAME!). I tweeted that I wish we had one in NYC and much to my surprise and excitement, Rachel (cupcakesandscissors on Youtube ...LOVE her videos! Subscribe to her please =]) tweeted me an article that said it was coming to NYC!

Article: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/blogs/threadny/THREAD-Brit-Chain-Accessorize-to-Open-2-NYC-Stores-104772009.html

I will definitely make my way to browse this store that was so mysterious to me! I hope it makes its way to other parts of the US too so you non-NYC girls can check it out too!

NYC residents, will you be checking out Accessorize?

Easy Halloween Manicure

I love the spirit of Halloween! I love holidays in general; it's a great time to be creative and come together (wow, yuliya, you're so corny). I was so excited to see the first house on my blog to put up Halloween decorations and especially this week everyone is talking about costumes and dressing up. I haven't dressed up for Halloween since HS so my way of being in the Halloween spirit is a manicure. Here is mine for this year:

At first, I started out my manicure like how they are on the first four fingers. I had an idea to do this for a long time because it just looks like fall/ Halloween.

What I used:
-Nfu Oh Aqua Base
-Sally Hansen Black Out
-Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (I know, I know..limited edition! Sorry!! Nubar 2010 is a dupe though!)
-Seche Vite Dry fast Top Coat

The Hidden Treasure on top of the black gives the amazing fire-like effect.

It also can look green and gold in some lights! It's an amazing effect.

Then I found this Frankenstein Nails tutorial. It's SO easy and adorable and I just had to do it on one nail to give it even more of a Halloween feel. The Frankenstein nail really stands out more if it's just one nail.

What I used for the Frankenstein thumb (p.s. if you read the book Frankenstein, you'll know that though everyone refers to the monster as Frankenstein, his creator is actually named Frankenstein, not the monster...I'm a nerd!) is:

-Nfu Oh Aqua Base
-Sally Hansen Green With Envy
-Sally Hansen Snow
-Sinful Colors black nail art polish
-Seche Vite Dry Fast Polish

I want you guys to know that I SUCK at nail art! I can't even draw in real life let alone with nail polish. This tutorial makes this cute nail art SO easy and it comes out so adorable! If you don't know what to do for a Halloween tutorial, I highly recommend checking out the tutorial.

Hope you like my extremely easy Halloween manicure. It's weird to think I'm wearing 7 polishes at one time!

What are you dressing up as for Halloween? If you aren't, are you doing a special manicure like I am to be in the spirit lol?

MAC Cham-Pale Collection (Info & Wishlist)

Now that the Tartan Tale collection has already come out, I am looking forward to more!

The next one (November 24th) is the MAC & Marcel Wanders collection, which is a luxury collection from MAC. I'm skipping this one. All the prices will be higher (like $22 for a gloss) because it's more luxury packaging. I'm completely against paying for packaging only and there's nothing in the collection that appeals to me...NO THANKS!

Next is Champ-Pale..mostly neturals. I'm excited =] Also, a false lashes collection and another collection filled with pigments, fluidlines, and other items) is coming out that same day but I'm passing on those.

Here's the info and I've highlighted what I'm planning to get:

Current Obsession: Wet n Wild Nutty Eyeshadow (Swatches)

Below is my little "Current Obsession" video about Wet n Wild's Nutty eyeshadow, and you guessed it: I'M OBSESSED! It's such a gorgeous color that's great quality and at such a low price! What's not to love? I've been wearing this color almost everyday and haven't gotten sick of it (which I usually do with looks I wear often).

Pictures & swatches:

Swatched in same order: left to right: NARS Ashes to Ashes, WnW Nutty, MAC Satin Taupe (no flash)

I really hope you check this shadow out, it's become one of my all time favorites. It's perfect when you don't want to think about what to wear and don't feel like spending time on a lid/crease color look!

What I Ended Up Getting From Sephora FF Sale & Recommendations

I know I had posted my whole wishlist for the Sephora sale so I wanted to give you guys an update on what I did get. I made a mini haul video on it and I also show some of my favorites from Sephora.

Man, how did I forget the UD Naked palette and the Too Faced Neutral Palette...I LOVE those, they're amazing quality and get a lot of love from me!

I've had a few days to play with the 2 things that I got and I am VERY happy with my little purchase. Although I haven't had these two items for very long at all, I can already tell I will get a lot of use from them! Celestine is a gorgeous lid color! It's a perfect neutral, brightening color and reminds me a bit of MAC's shroom (just more golden and sparkly). The Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm is amazing too. It smells so yummy and it's just as moisturizing as my favorite C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve (they're essentially the same thing but I believe that Rosebud made it first).

Have you gotten your Sephora Friends and Family sale haul? How are you enjoying it?

This or That Tag

Yes...ANOTHER post! I've been doing these almost daily, told you I was inspired =]

I have seen the this or that tag going around on Youtube and even attempted to record a video...but it was 15 min long and this was before the 10 min max got extended to 15 min. So I might as well do it on here!

I got this tag from the adorable GlossMenagerie ! Definitely check out her out! She's so sweet and I love her blog. Tell her I sent you!

blush or bronzer - bronzer! I know this might be a shocker to makeup addcits, but I don't wear blush *GASP* lol I never felt the need to since my cheeks are already rosey but I love bronzer to give dimaension and warmth to my face
lip gloss or lipstick - hmm...I like lipstick for it's ease and comfort
eye liner or mascara - Mascara. don't get my wrong..I LOVE me some eyeliner...but I'd rather pick mascara because I think mascara can define your eyes too (plus I get peeved when I see people wear eyeshadow with no mascara lol)
foundation or concealer - concealer. I can get away with some undereye concealer and face concealer if I really needed to
neutral or color eye shadow - neutrals please!
pressed or loose eye shadows - pressed, I love some of the loose shadows I have but pressed is so much easier
brushes or sponges - brushes for eyes, hands for concealer/foundation

NAILS:
OPI or china glaze - china glaze...i'm turned off by opi for their fiasco with not letting bloggers post about upcoming collections...who cares?

Flower or no flower - no flower

My Favorite Makeup Wipes: Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes

I love makeup wipes to remove my makeup at night before I use my cleanser. They're easy to use and  you can quickly remove your makeup when all you want to do is get to bed.

My absolute favorites from the ones I've tried are the Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes. They're a good size, moderately soaked with makeup remover, don't burn my eyes (like unfortunately the Costco Kirkland brand ones do), and smell nice. It does a great job in removing every trace of makeup, including all mascara, and my face feels really clean after.

They come with a sticker seal, which is my only complaint. When the wipe count gets low and you've been opening and closing it a lot, the sticker gets a little weak and starts allowing air into the packet and the wipes dry out more.

The Clean & Clear Facial Cleansing Wipes come with 25 wipes and retails for about $7 in drugstores.

What are your favorite makeup wipes?
