Wet n Wild Gilded Age Eyeshadow Trio (Swatches and Comparisons)

Wet n Wild is quickly becoming one of my favorite drugstore brands. At such a low price point, their products sometimes beat higher end ones out of the water! They recently released a new eyeshadow trio, called Gilded Age. This trio has been hard to find so I thought I'd post some comparisons to help you all decide if you really do need to search for it, or if this is similar to what you already have!

Wet n Wild Gilded Age Eyeshadow Trio- The shades of this trio are the same quality as the other trios: smooth, creamy, pigmented, in a word...HEAVEN!

Swatches: (left to right) Browbone, Crease, Eyelid

Comparisons:

left to right: Gilded Age Browbone, Urban Decay Sin, Too Faced Silk Teddy, Stila Kitten

left to right: Gilded Age Crease, MAC Tempting, MAC Mulch, Milani Java Bean

left to right: Gilded Age Eyelid, Too Faced Honey Pot, Urban Decay Half Baked

If you do find this trio, I highly recommend picking it up! I believe people have been finding it at CVS and it retails for around $3.

Do you have the Wet n Wild Gilded Age Eyeshadow Trio? What do you think of  it? Will you be picking it up?

For Friday, I wanted to show you guys my all time favorite eyeshadow look. It's one of my go to combinations because it brightens my eyes and defines them at the same time! Another one of my favorites is Tuesday, with Mauvement Pigment. This pigment on its own is horrendous! Chunky, glittery, all around fall out mess. However, the Pixie Epoxy grabbed on to the glitter and helped its true beauty shine.

I will definitely do an EOTD from time to time but not everyday lol. Again thank you to everyone that read these posts!

What did you think of the April Shadows project? What are your favorite eyeshadow combinations?

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette (swatches)

I have been eyeing this palette since I found out it was going to be released! It's a gorgeous palette with neutrals, golds, pinks, and purples. I'm a big fan of the Too Faced palettes so I knew I would eventually pick this up. The colors are perfect for spring and are so smooth and pigmented as Too Faced shadows usually are.

P.S. Total coincidence that today is the Royal Wedding and these shadows all have bridal/wedding names =]

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette

Hi gorgeous shadows! The setup is the same as the other Too Faced Palettes: 3 big eyeshadows and 6 smaller ones. The rows are set up in an order to reflect a look you can do. There is a Day look, a Classic look, and a Fashion look.

Top row: (left to right) Soulmates, I Do, Un-Veil
Middle Row: (left to right) Kiss the Bride, Cut the Cake, First Dance
Bottom Row: (left to right) Bouquet Toss, Honeymoon, Ever After

One thing I wanted to note is that this is slimmer than the regular Too Faced palettes. It doesn't have the pullout drawer with the brush. The picture is of the Romantic palette compared to the Natural palette.

I am so excited to play with this palette more! The colors are amazing quality and have a wide variety of tones and finishes. I highly recommend this palette!

You can purchase the Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette at Sephora or Too Faced for $35.

Do you already own the Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette? What do you think of it? Will you be picking it up?

April Shadows Weekly Roundup

If you are unfamiliar with this whole "April Shadows" concept, it is a continuation of my Eyes of March project, where I vowed to use a different eyeshadow everyday! It's a fun challenge to do to rediscover your forgotten shades. You don't even have to do it with eyeshadows, can be with anything in your collection that you have a lot of.

This week I've been a bit lazy with my eyeshadow, I only wore it 3 days! Here are my looks throughout the week:

Wednesday:

Products used:

-UDPP
-Urban Decay Sin (lid)
-Urban Decay Shakedown (crease)
-NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk (inner corner base)
-Urban Decay Virgin (inner corner)
-Jordana Fabuliner (upper lashline)
-Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner (waterline)
-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

I loved this look, it was nice and simple. Also, when Urban Decay makes good eyeshadows, they make it GOOD. No glitter face= happy Yuliya!

Thursday:

Products used:

-UDPP
-Too Faced I Do (lid)
-Too Faced Ever After and Too Faced Un-Veil (crease)
-NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk (inner corner base)
-Too Faced Soulmates (inner corner)
-Jordana Fabuliner (upper lashline)
-Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner (waterline)
-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

I FINALLY caved and bought the Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette and all the colors I used were from there! I've only had it a few days but it's gorgeous.

Friday:

Products used:

-UDPP
-MAC Bare Study Paintpot (base)
-MAC Prance Eyeshadow (lid)
-Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner (waterline)
-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

I had to wake up super early so today was a very minimal makeup day. I love the combo of an eye brightening base and an eye brightening eyeshadow. Also, wearing only mascara and upper lashline liner makes your lashes look HUGE.

What is on your eyes today? Do you have a favorite eyeshadow combo?

-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

A week in eyeshadows! I have to say, I'm liking today's look. I didn't wear any liner on the upper lashline, which makes my lashes look HUGE. Also, I skipped the face makeup today and all I used is the Garnier tinted eye roller. Also, I am loving the Covergirl Pure Romance quad. I will admit the quality isn't that great and you do need to build up the colors, but it's a nice purpley neutral quad.

What is your favorite eye look? What's on your eyes today?

So there's my week of eyeshadow looks. I'd have to say Tuesday's and Thursday's looks were my favorite. Too Faced Silk Teddy is one of my all time favorite shadows. It is great for a gorgeous, eye brightening one shadow look. I also loved the golden look of Thursday. I usually avoid shades like Half Baked and Woodwinked (very similar to Half Baked) because while they look golden and glowy, they come out copper on me. People have given me the tip that if this happens, to use a brown base. This did the trick and I got the gorgeous golden color that I wanted.

What was your favorite eyeshadow combo that you wore this week? What's on your eyes today?

The Eyes of March- March 19th

The reason I started this project is to rediscover eyeshadows and use some I've never used before. Today was the day I used Too Faced Nude Beach eyeshadow from the Neautral Eye palette, a shadow I have stayed away from and never touched the entire time of owning this palette. I now know that I will never use this shadow again. This shadow is filled with glitter chunks that fall out ALL OVER. I despise the fact that companies put these glitter fillers in shadows, they are such a pain! The glitter never stays on your eye and it's the msot irritating thing ever. I also used the Pixie Epoxy again to make the glitter stick and it worked a little bit, but 50% of it was all over my face. Moral of the story: I am never using it again and I hate that it's one of the biggest shadows in the palette. End rant =]

Products used:

-Michael Todd Eyeshadow base
-Fyrrinae Pixie Epoxy (base)
-Too Faced Nude Beach-ugh! (lid)
-Too Faced Sexpresso (crease)
-NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk (inner corner base)
-Too Faced Heaven (inner corner)
-Jordana Fabuliner (upper lashline)
-Milani Liquif'eye liner (waterline)
-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

What is your worst eyeshadow experience? What is on your eyes today?

The Eyes of March- March 8th

I used my new Too Faced Naked Eye palette today. I know it's not an old, neglected product but if I'm not gonna use the new items, they will become that =] Honestly, I do like it, but I'd recommend the Natural eye over that one.

Products used:
-UDPP
-Too Faced Birthday Suit (lid)
-Too Faced Lap Dance and Too Faced Unmentionables (crease)
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (inner corner base)
-Too Faced In the Buff (Inner corner)
-Jordana Fabuliner (upper lashline)
-Milani Liquif'eye liner (waterline)
-NYX Black eyeshadow (to set liner)
-Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara

Have you bought this palette? How do you like it? What's on your eyes today?

Too Faced Naked Eye Pallete (Swatches)

I have been eyeing this palette since it came out but never picked it up until now. I love the Natural eye one (I'm sure you can tell since I can't stop raving about!) and thought this would be a great one to buy.

Too Faced Naked Eye Pallete

Pretty Neutrals!
Day (top row): left to right- In the Buff, Pillow Talk, Like a Virgin
Classic (middle row): left to right- Birthday Suit, Satin Sheets, Unmentionables
Fashion (bottom row): left to right- Pink Cheeks, Lap Dance, Stiletto
Swatches: (left to right) In the Buff, Pillow Talk, Like a Virgin
Swatches: (left to right) Birthday Suit, Satin Sheets, Unmentionables
Swatches: (left to right) Pink Cheeks, Lap Dance, Stiletto

I haven't had enough time to use each color and really give a good review on the palette and how it compares to my beloved Natural eye palette. The Natural eye seems more warm toned while this one is more cool. I can say that for swatches I had to build some of these up, which I barely had to do in the Natural eye palette.

Will you be picking up the Too Faced Naked Eye Pallete? Do you already own it? What do you think?
