MAC Haul: Surf Baby and Permanent (Swatches and Comparisons)

I recently took advantage of a 20% off birthday coupon to Henri Bendel and treated myself to some MAC goodies. I picked up a few things from the Surf Baby collection and from their permanent range.Here is my haul video followed by some swatches and comparisons:



First up are the Surf Baby items, I only bought 2 eyeshadows.

I'm pretty happy with everything I got! They are definitely colors that I will get a lot of use out of.

MAC Fashion Flower Collection Haul (Swatches & Comparisons)

I have missed the excitement of new MAC collections! The Fashion Flower had some times that I was excited to get and when it was launched online, I snatched the three items up. I purchased the Fresh Daisy and Groundcover eyeshadows and Ever Hip Lipstick. Here is my haul video and below are some swatches and comparisons:

The two eyeshadows I got: (left to right) Fresh Daisy, Groundcover

These shadows have the standard black MAC pot packaging but the actual product is imprinted with a flower design.

I also picked up Ever Hip lipstick. This is one of the most popular items of the collection so if you want it, GET IT! It's a gorgeous pinky-coral.

I am very happy with my small purchase from Fashion Flower. My favorite product that I bought has to be Ever Hip! It is gorgeous on the lips and I highly recommend it! I am new to coral lips and was afraid it would be orange but it's a ot more wearable if you're like me and used to pink lip colors. My second favorite is Groundcover. It is a grey taupe color and I don't have anything exactly like it. I do love Fresh Daisy but it is my least favorite because it is almost exactly like Nylon.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses (Review & Swatches)

I have completely fallen in love with the Revlon Super Lustrous Glosses! These glosses came out around a year ago in a collection and are now permanent (love when good LE stuff is made perm!) The texture of them is amazing, not sticky or goopy. They glide on your lips and stay there without being drying. They are about $7-$9 in drugstores which may seem like a lot for drugstore, but for the quality they are comparable to glosses that are much more expensive.

I also tried to show these on my lips through lip swatches. I often find that for me, it's hard to know what a lip product looks like on your lips just from a hand swatch. With an eye shadow swatch, it's obvious because it's just on your lid but with lip products, your natural lip product may change the color. I know these aren't the best, but I'm a newbie to lip swatches!

 

Peach Petal- This is a gorgeous pinky peach nude. It's not concealer lips, just mutes down the pigmentation a bit. This is one of my go to lip colors and goes with any look.

 

Lilac Pastelle- I know this looks scary in the tube, but it's very sheer and doesn't come out too purple. My top lip is more like how it comes out, just a sheer lilac. It gives an interesting twist to a lip look.

 

Pink Pop- This is my newest addition to the Super Lustrous collection. In the tube, it looks like a hot pink, however on my lips it's a sheer pinky red. I love this as it's not a lip that's too bold but just comfortably out of my comfort zone. 

  

If you can't tell already, I highly recommend these glosses! Though drugstores don't do BOGOs as often as they used to, I recommend waiting for a BOGO half off and trying out a few colors.
