Bath & Body Works Coconut Mango Smoothing Body Scrub Review

I have officially found my holy grail summer scrub! It was love at first smell with Bath & Body Works Coconut Mango Smoothing Body Scrub. The smell is just as it might sound: mostly coconut with a hint of mango. The scent is perfect for summer and I'm sure that even in the winter, it will make me think of wonderful beaches!

Even the packaging is so summery and beachy. The scrub itself is great. It isn't too harsh and exfoliates the dead or dry skin wonderfully. I have had a few dry spots and the scrub got rid of them effortlessly!

Here is the actual texture of it, I hope you can see in the cap. I love that it's a squeeze tube so it is not messy and easily controllable.

Here is the scrub "swatched". The granules aren't too big and do a great job exfoliating my skin. 

I highly recommend this scrub! It may be sold out in store after the sale but it is still available online for 50% off. You can purchase this scrub at Bath and Body Works online.

I LUV BBW CLUB- Bath and Body Works Freebies!

If you were lucky enough to sign up for the I LUV BBW CLUB back in December, you received a magical freebie card! This card let you get Bath and Body Works Freebies once a month on Thursdays. These freebies included travel candles, pocket bacs, and travel sized signature items. No purchase was necessary! It was a very exciting program that just ended in May. We have all been waiting for another sign up (DUH, who doesn't like freebies?) and I THINK here it is. I'll explain in a bit.

I was so excited when Free Sample Freak blogged about an opportunity to call a number and be put on a list for the renewal of the I LUV BBW CLUB card! As I mentioned, this is a great program of freebies and of course I would not mind more. Here is Free Sample Freak's post. Also, Nouveau Cheap did a blogpost about this. Here is what Free Sample Freak said about the sign up:

"As of right now the only way to sign up for the next round is to call the following number: 1-800-756-5005, let them know that you are interested in signing up for the next I Luv BBW Rewards Club (it’s FREE)! They will take your name, address, etc. and you will be guaranteed to get an invite for the next round once it starts!"

When I called that number to say I wanted to sign up for the I LUV BBW CLUB, I was given a Customer Relations number and it seems that everyone was transferred to. The number is 1-800-395-1001. Call in and press 0 for Customer Relations. You may have to wait on hold a while, about 15 minutes. When the person picks up, you ask about the Club and they take your name, address, and email.

There is some debate about whether this will guarantee you a sign up, if it is a waiting list, or if there is no promo at all. Different people received different responses. The person I talked to said that this was a list that if there was a renewed club, the people would be contacted by email. Nouveau Cheap and Free Sample Freak talked to people that said there WAS a club and this guarantees you a sign up. I don't know which answer is right but in my opinion, it never hurts to just sign up! Also, I have heard that you get a coupon for giving your info so if anything, you get a discount!

I wish there was a way for us to know for sure if this is a sign up or not but this is all the info I can give you! The club was amazing last time so I HAD to spread the word about anything I heard about a renewal. If I hear more news I will be sure to spread the word!

Upcoming Bath & Body Works Collections

I have become somewhat (ok let’s face it, full blown) Bath & Body Works ADDICT. I feel like I just discovered this new world and can’t get enough. After I started discussing my love on twitter, turns out a lot of you are BBW fans as well. Can someone tell me why I have missed out on this wonderfulness for so long??

Recently BBW had a Facebook live chat, which you can watch here, with their President of Product Development, Camille McDonald, giving the scoop on upcoming summer and fall collections. Camille is responsible for popular BBW scents including Japanese Cherry Blossom and Twilight Woods. I thought I would take advantage of all this new info and organize an outline to share with you guys. I tried to make it in time order to make it easier. I hope you BBW lovers are excited as I am for these new collections! Just a warning, there’s TONS of new things coming and this is a long post.

SPRING 

1. April 30th- I Fragrance Event 

I went to one of these in March and it’s a fun way BBW gets its customers involved in giving feedback for new scents. They had a gift with purchase, which in the last one was a full sized Country Chic Lotion. Also, they had a set of testers you could vote on that were going to be a new scent based on the winner. These weren’t labeled and you just picked number 1-4.

2. Country Chic

This scent has already been released. It’s meant to be a spring version of the Twilight Woods scent. It is a blend of sparkling lemon, bright wildflowers, and sheer woods. Camille described is as a casual chic fragrance.

3. Into The Wild

This scent is just starting to release. I bought the little travel sized lotion which is all they have available for now. It is meant to be a union between fashion and fragrance, inspired by the Gucci animal print designs. The fashion element adds the sexyness of animal print and the fragrance element adds scent with mandarin, bright fruits, woods, and patchouli.

This scent will also come with a body scrub that has walnut chips in it.

4. Series of Favorite Ingredients

Camille talked about what a success the Vanilla collection was and wanted to make some more collections with what she called favorite addictive ingredients , Coconut and Citrus.

NATURALS

They are working on a collection inspired by nature and will be released Spring 2012.

PHEW!! That’s a ton of new things! I could barely keep up taking notes during the chat. I hope this post was helpful for what will be coming from BBW in the future seasons.
